1. Payment Processing

Taskoy uses secure payment processing services to handle all transactions between task givers and taskers. All payments are processed through our secure payment gateway and are subject to these terms.

2. Platform Fees

For Task Givers

Task givers are charged a platform fee when a task is successfully completed. This fee is deducted from the total task budget and covers our service costs, payment processing, and platform maintenance.

  • Platform fee: 5% of the task amount (minimum $1)
  • Fee is only charged upon successful task completion
  • No upfront fees or monthly subscriptions
  • Payment processing fees included

For Taskers

Taskers receive payment for completed work minus our platform fee. The fee covers payment processing, platform services, and support.

  • Platform fee: 10% of the task payment
  • Fee is deducted from your earnings
  • No monthly fees or subscriptions
  • Payment processing fees included

4. Payment Schedule

Task Givers

Payment is authorized when you post a task and is held in escrow until the task is completed and approved. Once approved, payment is automatically released to the tasker minus platform fees. If a task is canceled or disputed, funds are returned according to our refund policy.

Taskers

Payment is released to your account once a task is completed and approved by the task giver. Standard processing time is 2-5 business days. You can withdraw your earnings at any time, subject to minimum withdrawal amounts.

  • Minimum withdrawal amount: $10
  • Processing time: 2-5 business days
  • Withdrawal fees may apply depending on payment method

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Task Cancellation by Task Giver

  • Before task starts: Full refund minus payment processing fees
  • After task starts: Refund amount depends on work completed
  • After task completion: No refund unless work is unsatisfactory (subject to review)

Task Cancellation by Tasker

  • Before task starts: Full refund to task giver
  • After task starts: Partial refund based on work completed
  • Repeated cancellations may affect your Fair Score

6. Disputes and Chargebacks

In case of disputes between task givers and taskers, Taskoy will mediate according to our dispute resolution policy. We reserve the right to hold funds during dispute resolution. Chargebacks or payment reversals may result in account suspension or termination.

7. Currency and Exchange Rates

All transactions are processed in USD by default. If you use a different currency, exchange rates are applied at the time of transaction. Exchange rates are determined by our payment processor and may fluctuate. Taskoy is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations.

8. Taxes

You are responsible for any taxes applicable to payments received through Taskoy. We may be required to report earnings to tax authorities in certain jurisdictions. Please consult with a tax professional regarding your tax obligations.

9. Payment Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your payment information. All payment data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

10. Changes to Payment Terms

We reserve the right to modify these payment terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or through our platform at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
